Free storage periods and storage fees

Short answer: Free members get 15 days of free storage, Premium members 45 days and VIP members 120 days, counted from the day the package is logged into your account. After that there's a 30-day grace period with a daily storage fee. Nothing ever ships automatically, so a package that's still in storage at the end of the grace period is disposed of, free of charge. Free storage, paid grace period and disposal day for the Free, Premium and VIP plans Free storage by plan Your storage period starts on the day we log the package into your account, not the day the carrier delivered it. We log packages within 24 hours at the latest, usually the same day. | Plan | Free storage | Paid grace period (daily fee) | Disposal | |---|---|---|---| | Free | Days 1โ€“15 | Days 16โ€“45 | Day 45 | | Premium | Days 1โ€“45 | Days 46โ€“75 | Day 75 | | VIP | Days 1โ€“120 | Days 121โ€“150 | Day 150 | Each package has its own storage clock, based on the day that package was logged. What happens after the free period 1. The grace period starts. For 30 days, your package stays with us and a daily storage fee applies. You can still ship it at any time during this period. 2. Disposal. If the package hasn't been shipped by the end of the grace period, we dispose of it. We don't charge for disposal, but the package can't be recovered afterwards. An unclaimed package may also be sold or donated instead of disposed of. If there's a balance owed on your account, proceeds from a sale can go towards covering it โ€” see "If you have an unpaid balance" below. Nothing ships automatically. We never send a package on without you creating the shipment and paying for it, so a package you don't ship in time is disposed of rather than forwarded to your address. Contact our support team if you'd like to know the current daily fee for your plan. If you have an unpaid balance While money is owed on your account, our Terms (ยง9.6) give us a lien over the goods we're holding for you: we can keep your packages in our warehouse until the balance is settled. Contact our support team if there's a problem with a payment, so a package doesn't sit in storage while a balance stays open. How to avoid storage fees - Ship within your free period. Create your shipment in your account before the free days run out. - Plan ahead when combining packages. Consolidation takes 2 business days, so leave enough time before your free period ends. - Need more free days? Premium and VIP plans include longer free storage. See our membership page to compare plans. If you need to keep a package longer than your storage period allows, contact our support team before the grace period ends. Common questions How many free storage days do I get as a Free member? 15 days from the day the package is logged into your account. You may have seen a different number in older materials. 15 days is correct. When does the storage clock start? On the day we log the package into your account. Each package has its own clock. Will you ship my package to me automatically if I don't? No. Nothing ships automatically. If you don't create and pay for a shipment before the grace period ends, the package is disposed of. Is there a fee to dispose of my package? No. Disposal is free. Can you keep my package for another 30 days? The paid grace period already gives you 30 extra days after your free storage ends, with a daily fee. If you need more time than that, contact our support team before the grace period ends. I got a storage warning for a package I can't see in my account. What should I do? Contact our support team with the details from the email, and we'll check it for you. Still need help? Consolidating packages: how to request it, how long it takes and what it costs

Short answer: Consolidation means we combine several of your packages into one box so you ship them together. It takes 2 business days, and it's charged per package: $3.25 on Free, $2.00 on Premium and free on VIP. Combine several packages into one shipment What consolidation is (and isn't) When you consolidate, our team opens your packages, puts the items into one box and gives you one new package to ship. Couriers charge by weight and size, so one box usually costs less than several separate shipments. Paying for several packages at the same time is not consolidation. If you select several packages at checkout without requesting consolidation, each one ships as its own package with its own shipping cost. To combine them, you have to ask for consolidation when you create the request. Keeping the original box. To combine packages into one, our team opens the originals and repacks the contents, which can mark up the original packaging and remove inserts or warranty cards. That's fine for most items, but if you collect sneakers or other boxed collectibles and the original packaging matters to you, tell support before you ship. We handle it as a special request, since it needs extra care and processing time, and any related fee depends on that handling time. How to request consolidation 1. Wait until all the packages have arrived. Each package appears in your account once we've logged it. Tip: add the tracking numbers of upcoming orders under Expected Packages so we can match them quickly. 2. Go to Create Request in your dashboard. 3. Select the packages you want to combine and ask for consolidation. 4. Confirm the request. Our team combines your packages within 2 business days. 5. Check your new consolidated package. Review its customs declaration, then choose your shipping option and pay. What it costs Consolidation is charged for each package you combine: | Plan | Fee per package | Example: 4 packages | |---|---|---| | Free | $3.25 | $13.00 | | Premium | $2.00 | $8.00 | | VIP | Free | $0 | You can compare plans on our membership page. Plan around your free storage Each package keeps its own storage clock while you wait for the others to arrive, and consolidation adds 2 business days. If one of your packages is close to the end of its free storage period, request consolidation early or ship that package on its own. See "Free storage periods and storage fees" for the days on your plan. When consolidating doesn't save money Combining usually lowers the cost, but not always. Couriers bill the higher of a package's actual weight and its dimensional (size-based) weight. If one item is very bulky, putting everything into a larger box can raise the billable weight. In that case our team may recommend shipping some packages separately. See "Why your shipping quote is higher than expected, and how to lower it". Common questions How long does consolidation take? 2 business days from your request. Our team doesn't work on weekends. Can I add another package to a consolidation request that's already in progress? Contact our support team as soon as possible with the details, and we'll check whether it can still be added. If I check out two packages together, are they combined into one? No. Only packages you request consolidation for are combined. Otherwise each package ships separately. A store split my order into several shipments. Do I pay the fee for each one? Yes. The fee is charged for each package we receive and combine, even if they came from the same order. On VIP, consolidation is free. Still need help? Our support team is available on weekdays from 09:00 to 17:00 ET at [email protected].

Packing add-ons: extra protection, invoice removal and faster handling

Short answer: At checkout you can add extras to your shipment, such as extra protection, invoice removal and faster warehouse handling, each for a small fixed fee. Normally your package leaves our warehouse within 1โ€“2 business days after you pay. Urgent Handling and Express Mailout speed up that warehouse step, not the courier's delivery time. Extras you can add to your shipment The add-ons and what they cost | Add-on | What it does | Price | |---|---|---| | Extra Bubble | Adds more bubble wrap around your items | $2 | | Extra Tape | Adds more tape to seal the box | $1 | | Security Tape | Seals the box with security tape | $2 | | Fragile Sticker | Marks the box as fragile | $1 | | Remove Invoice & Packing Slip | Takes the store's invoice and packing slip out of the box | $1 | | Urgent Handling | Priority processing and dispatch | $10 | | Express Mailout | Dispatched from our warehouse as quickly as possible | $2 | You'll also see a Photo Request option. It gives you extra photos of your items and costs $5 on the Free plan, $2 on Premium, and free on VIP. See "Do you open my packages? Inspection and photos". Extra protection Extra Bubble, Extra Tape, Security Tape and a Fragile Sticker help when you're shipping something delicate or want a sturdier, clearly sealed box. You can combine them. Removing the invoice and packing slip Remove Invoice & Packing Slip is popular for gifts, when you don't want the recipient to see the store's paperwork and prices. It only removes the paper from the box. You still fill in the customs declaration for your shipment as usual. See "Customs paperwork: declarations, invoices and high-value shipments". Faster handling: Urgent Handling vs Express Mailout Both add-ons shorten the time your package spends at our warehouse after you pay. They work differently: - Urgent Handling ($10): your package is picked from the shelf with priority, so it's processed and dispatched first. - Express Mailout ($2): once your package is ready, it moves to the front of the mail-out queue so it leaves as quickly as possible. Without either, your package ships out within 1โ€“2 business days after payment. Our warehouse doesn't work on weekends, so a shipment paid on a Friday afternoon is handled the next working day. Neither add-on changes the courier's transit time. Delivery time depends on the courier, the service and your destination. Express services usually take 1โ€“5 business days, and the estimate shown at checkout is the one to go by. See "Estimating your shipping cost and delivery time". Common questions Will Urgent Handling get my package to me faster? It gets your package out of our warehouse faster. Once the courier has it, delivery follows the courier's own schedule. What's the difference between Urgent Handling and Express Mailout? Urgent Handling prioritizes picking and processing your package. Express Mailout moves it to the front of the queue for dispatch. Can I add an add-on after I've paid? Add-ons are chosen at checkout. If you've already paid, contact our support team as soon as possible and we'll check what's still possible. Do add-ons apply when I consolidate packages? Yes, you choose them at checkout for the new consolidated package. Keep in mind that consolidation itself takes 2 business days. See "Consolidating packages: how to request it, how long it takes and what it costs". Still need help? Our support team is available on weekdays from 09:00 to 17:00 ET at [email protected].

Repacking and removing items

Short answer: You can ask us to repack a package or to remove any item from it by sending a special request from your account. It costs $10. Repacking into a smaller box can lower your shipping price, because couriers charge by size as well as weight. Why repack? Stores often ship small items in large boxes, with plenty of empty space and filler. Couriers bill the higher of a package's actual weight and its dimensional (size-based) weight, so an oversized box can cost you more than the item itself would. Repacking puts your items into a better-fitting box, which can reduce the dimensional weight and the price of your shipment. See "Why your shipping quote is higher than expected, and how to lower it" for more ways to save. Keep in mind that a repack means we open the original box and move your items into a new one, which can mark up the original packaging and remove things like inserts or warranty cards. That's usually not an issue, but if you're shipping sneakers or other boxed collectibles and want the original box left untouched, tell support before you ship. We treat that as a special request that needs extra handling time, and any related fee depends on that handling time. Why remove an item? You might want to take something out of a package before it ships, for example: - An item you've changed your mind about. - A bulky item that pushes up the size of the box. - Extra items you'd rather keep out of this shipment. Item removal is available for any item in the package. How to request it 1. Wait until the package is in your account. We email you once it's logged. 2. Send a special request from your account for the package, and tell us what you need: a repack, the removal of specific items, or both. 3. Our team handles the request and updates your package. 4. Check your package before you ship, then create your shipment as usual. Make your request before you create the shipment, so the package is ready when you check out. What it costs | Service | How to request | Price | |---|---|---| | Repacking | Special request | $10 | | Item removal | Special request | $10 | If you're combining several packages into one box, that's consolidation, which has its own per-package fee on the Free and Premium plans and takes 2 business days. See "Consolidating packages: how to request it, how long it takes and what it costs". If our team flagged an item Items that we can't ship, such as perfume, other flammable products or loose batteries, are handled differently. If our team flags one in your package, we review it and contact you with your options, and removing a flagged item is free. See "Restricted and prohibited items: what we can ship and what happens if a package is flagged". Common questions Will repacking always lower my shipping price? Not always. It helps most when a small item came in a large box. If your items already fit their box well, a repack may not change the billable weight much. Can you remove an item that isn't restricted? Yes. Item removal is available for any item, not only restricted ones. Is removing a restricted item also $10? No. If our team flagged the item, removing it is free. See the restricted items article linked above. Can I ask for a smaller box after I've paid for my shipment? Contact our support team as soon as possible, and we'll check whether the package can still be repacked. Still need help? Our support team is available on weekdays from 09:00 to 17:00 ET at [email protected].
