How ForwardMe works, your US and Turkey addresses, membership plans and account settings.

How ForwardMe works: from sign-up to your door

Short answer: You get your own warehouse address in the US or Turkey, shop online with it, and we receive your packages there. When you're ready, you choose a delivery address and a shipping option in your account and we send the package to you. Nothing ships until you ask us to. Five steps of how ForwardMe works, from sign-up to delivery Step by step 1. Sign up. Signing up is free. You can compare Free, Premium and VIP benefits in "Free, Premium and VIP: what each plan includes" and on our membership page. 2. Find your address in your dashboard. Your warehouse address and your personal suite number appear in your account after you log in, not on our public website. You can switch between your US address (Delaware) and your Turkey address in the dashboard. 3. Shop online with your full address. At the store's checkout, enter your ForwardMe address exactly as shown, including your suite number (it usually goes in Address Line 2). You buy from the store directly. You don't need to order through our website. 4. Tell us what's coming (recommended). Add the tracking number and contents under Expected Packages so we can match your package quickly. 5. We receive and log your package. We log packages into your account within 24 hours at the latest, usually the same day, and email you when your package is ready. 6. Add your delivery address. Save the address you want the package delivered to in your Address Book. We don't need it when you sign up, only when you ship. 7. Create your shipment. Select the package (marked Action Required), fill in the customs declaration, add any extras or a consolidation request, and mark it Ready to Ship. 8. Choose a shipping option and pay. You'll see the available couriers, prices and delivery estimates at checkout. 9. Track it. Once your package leaves our warehouse, you get a tracking number for the international shipment. Nothing ships automatically We hold your packages until you create a shipment. This lets you wait for several orders and combine them. Consolidation takes 2 business days. Keep an eye on your free storage period, though. See "Free storage periods and storage fees" for the details for your plan. Two different tracking numbers - Inbound tracking is the number the store gives you. It follows the package from the store to our warehouse. - Outbound tracking is the number we give you once we ship. It follows the package from our warehouse to your door. A store's order number is not a tracking number. Your suite number matters Your suite number is how we know a package is yours. Without it, a package may be logged to an "Unknown" account and take longer to reach you. There's no fee to match it, but you can avoid the delay by always including your suite number and adding your orders under Expected Packages. No US sales tax on your Delaware address Our US warehouse is in Delaware, which has no state sales tax, so most US stores don't charge sales tax on orders shipped to your ForwardMe address. We also offer domestic shipping within the US. If we ship to an address in another state, you're responsible for any taxes that apply there. Import duties and taxes in your own country are separate. Where we ship from We ship from our warehouses in the US and Turkey. We don't have a UK warehouse at the moment. When a store won't take your order If a US or Turkish store declines your card, blocks international buyers or needs local phone verification, our Personal Shopper team can buy the item for you. See "Personal Shopper: when you need it and how to place a request". Common questions I signed up. Where's my US address and suite number? Log in and look in your dashboard. Your US and Turkey addresses are shown there, together with your suite number. When do I give you my home delivery address? When you're ready to ship. Add it to your Address Book, then choose it while you create the shipment. Will you forward my package as soon as it arrives? No. You create the shipment yourself when you're ready, so you can wait for more packages first. Do I have to order through the ForwardMe website? No. Shop on any store's site and enter your ForwardMe address at checkout. Still need help? Our support team is available on weekdays from 09:00 to 17:00 ET at [email protected].

Where we ship from and to

Short answer: We ship from our warehouses in the US (Delaware) and Turkey. We don't have a UK warehouse at the moment. We deliver to addresses around the world and within the US, apart from a small number of embargoed destinations. Remote-area fees and carrier surcharges depend on your delivery address, and you'll see them before you pay. Where we ship from | Warehouse | Status | |---|---| | United States (Delaware) | Active | | Turkey | Active | | United Kingdom | Not active yet | When you sign up, your dashboard shows both your US and your Turkey address, each with your suite number. Use the address for the country the store is in. For example, use your Turkey address for Turkish stores and your US address for US stores. You may have seen a UK address mentioned in older pages. That service isn't active, so please don't send packages to a UK address for ForwardMe. Where we ship to We ship internationally from both warehouses. You choose your delivery address from your Address Book when you create a shipment, and checkout shows the couriers, services and prices available for that address. See "Carriers and shipping services we use" for the full list. We also offer domestic shipping within the US. Our US warehouse is in Delaware, which has no state sales tax. If we ship your package to an address in another US state, you're responsible for any taxes that apply there. Where we can't ship US export rules prohibit shipping to comprehensively sanctioned destinations, so we can't deliver to: - Cuba - Iran - North Korea - Syria - Crimea - The DNR and LNR regions This isn't a commercial choice and we can't make an exception. See our Terms (ยง4.2). Check your destination before you buy Some things depend on the exact address or country you're shipping to: - Remote areas. Couriers charge an extra fee to deliver to some remote or rural addresses. The fee varies by courier and is typically $40โ€“$50. You'll see whether your address is in a remote area when you add it to your account. The shipping calculator also has a "Check remote area" button. - Carrier risk and demand surcharges. Carriers such as DHL, UPS and FedEx add surcharges for some destinations, for example areas they class as elevated-risk or high-demand. These amounts change often and are set by the carrier. If one applies to your shipment, the amount appears at checkout before you pay. - Restricted destinations and trade rules. Some countries restrict or ban certain products, and some destinations have extra rules. Check your country with our import and export trade restrictions lookup tool. - Duties and DDP. Import duties and taxes in your country are separate from shipping. Our duty calculator estimates them, and the options at checkout show whether duties can be prepaid (DDP) for your destination. Personal Shopper coverage If a store won't accept your card or your address, our Personal Shopper team can buy for you. Personal Shopper is available for stores in the US and Turkey. See "Personal Shopper: when you need it and how to place a request". Common questions When will you support UK addresses? Our UK warehouse isn't active yet, so we can't receive packages there. We ship from the US and Turkey only. Can you ship my package to another address inside the US? Yes. We offer domestic shipping within the US. If the address is in another state, you're responsible for any taxes that apply there. Is the remote-area fee optional? No. It's charged by the courier for delivering to that address. You can see whether your address is in a remote area when you add it to your account, before you ship. Can I ship to a PO Box or an APO/FPO address? It depends on the courier, and many couriers can't deliver to these addresses. Please contact our support team before you choose one as your delivery address. Can I buy from a store in another country and send it to my ForwardMe address? You can use your ForwardMe address with any store that delivers to it. Our warehouses are in the US and Turkey, so the store must be willing to ship there. Still need help? Our support team is available on weekdays from 09:00 to 17:00 ET at [email protected].

Free, Premium and VIP: what each plan includes

Short answer: Every plan gives you US and Turkey shipping addresses. Premium and VIP add longer free storage and cheaper (or free) consolidation, and VIP also lets you receive mail and magazines. Signing up is free, and you can see current plan prices on our membership page. What each plan includes What each plan includes | | Free | Premium | VIP | |---|---|---|---| | Free storage | 15 days | 45 days | 120 days | | Consolidation fee (per package) | $3.25 | $2.00 | Free | | Mail, letters and magazines | No | No | Yes | | Photo Request (extra photos) | $5 | $2 | Free | | Personal Shopper fees | Same on all plans | Same on all plans | Same on all plans | Plan prices change from time to time, so we don't list them here. The membership page always shows the current prices and the full list of benefits. Free storage Your free storage period starts on the day we log the package into your account. Each package has its own clock. After the free period there's a 30-day grace period with a daily fee. For the full timeline, see "Free storage periods and storage fees". If you often wait for several orders to arrive before shipping, a longer storage period gives you more room to plan. Consolidation Combining several packages into one shipment is usually the easiest way to save on shipping. The consolidation fee is charged per package: $3.25 on Free, $2.00 on Premium, and free on VIP. For how to request it and how long it takes, see "Consolidating packages: how to request it, how long it takes and what it costs". Mail and magazines (VIP only) Receiving letters, USPS mail, magazines and catalogs is a VIP feature. Packages from online stores can be received on every plan. See "Can I receive mail and letters at my ForwardMe address?" for how to set it up. Personal Shopper Personal Shopper fees are the same on every plan. See "Personal Shopper fees and extra invoices" for the details. Billing and changing your plan - Monthly or annual. Paid plans can be billed monthly or annually. - Upgrading. You can upgrade at any time if you need more storage time or lower consolidation fees. - Downgrading. If you move to a lower plan, packages already in storage keep the storage period they already have. New packages get the storage period of your new plan. Additional users You can add other users to your account for a $20 fee. Contact our support team to set this up. Common questions Is it free to sign up? Yes. Signing up is free, and you get your addresses on the Free plan straight away. Do I lose storage days if I downgrade? No. Packages already in storage keep their existing storage period. Only packages logged after the change follow your new plan. Does VIP make Personal Shopper cheaper? No. Personal Shopper fees are the same on every plan. VIP's savings come from free consolidation, longer storage and mail receiving. Can I pay for a plan once a year? Yes. Paid plans can be billed monthly or annually. You'll see both options on the membership page. Can my family use my account? Yes. Additional users cost $20. Contact our support team to arrange it. Still need help? Our support team is available on weekdays from 09:00 to 17:00 ET at [email protected].

Contacting our support team

Short answer: Email us at [email protected]. Our team works on weekdays from 09:00 to 17:00 ET and doesn't work on weekends, so messages sent on Saturday or Sunday are answered on the next business day. When we're available | | Hours | |---|---| | Monday to Friday | 09:00 to 17:00 ET | | Saturday and Sunday | Closed | You can write to us at any time, and we reply during business hours. How to reach us Send an email to [email protected]. Please write from the email address you use for your ForwardMe account. That way we can find your account straight away. Tip: send one message per issue, and reply in the same email thread if you want to add something. Starting a new thread for the same question can slow things down. What to include in your message The right details let us check your case without asking you follow-up questions. Always include your suite number or account email, then add what fits your topic: | Topic | What to include | |---|---| | A package shows as delivered but isn't in your account | The carrier's tracking number, the store name, the delivery date, and a screenshot of the delivery confirmation | | A shipment you sent from us | Your tracking number and what you're seeing on the tracking page | | A damaged or missing item | The tracking number, photos from several angles and a photo of the packaging | | A Personal Shopper order | Your order number and the product link or links | | A flagged or restricted item | The package details from your account and, if you have it, the product page or safety data sheet | | Payment or checkout problems | The payment method you used, the exact error message, and a screenshot | | Your account or membership | What you'd like to change, and what you've already tried | Screenshots help a lot, especially for website errors. Please don't send full card numbers or passwords by email. Check these articles first Many questions are answered right away in our help center: - "My package shows as delivered but isn't in my account yet" - "Tracking your shipment: statuses, carrier hubs and customs holds" - "Personal Shopper order statuses: what each one means and how long it takes" - "Why your shipping quote is higher than expected, and how to lower it" - "Restricted and prohibited items: what we can ship and what happens if a package is flagged" - "Free storage periods and storage fees" Common questions Do you work on weekends? No. Our team works on weekdays only. Messages sent over the weekend are answered from Monday. My package was delivered on Saturday. Why isn't it in my account yet? Our warehouse doesn't work on weekends either, so packages delivered then are logged on the next business day. See "What happens when your package arrives at our warehouse?" for how check-in works. I forgot to add my suite number. Should I contact you? Yes. Send us the tracking number, the store name and what's inside, and add the tracking number under Expected Packages in your account. This helps us match the package quickly. Should I email you again if I haven't heard back? Please reply in your original email thread rather than starting a new one. It keeps all the details in one place. Still need help? Our support team is available on weekdays from 09:00 to 17:00 ET at [email protected].

Cancelling your membership or deleting your account

Short answer: You can do both in your account settings. Cancelling your membership moves you to a free account you can keep using. Deleting your account removes your access and permanently deletes your personal data. Two different options | | Cancel membership | Delete account | |---|---|---| | What happens | Your paid plan ends and you keep a free account | Your account is closed | | Your addresses | You keep using them | You lose access to them | | Your personal data | Stays in your account | Permanently deleted | | Can you come back? | Yes, upgrade again at any time | You'd need to sign up again | If you only want to stop paying for Premium or VIP, cancelling your membership is usually the better choice. You keep your suite number and addresses, and you can still receive and ship packages on the Free plan. Cancelling your membership 1. Sign in and open your account settings. 2. Choose the option to cancel your membership. 3. Your account continues as a free account. What happens to packages already in storage? They keep the storage period they already have. New packages that arrive after the change get the Free plan's storage period. See "Free storage periods and storage fees" for the details. Keep in mind that some benefits are plan-specific. For example, receiving mail and magazines is a VIP-only feature, and consolidation fees differ by plan. See "Free, Premium and VIP: what each plan includes". Deleting your account 1. Sign in and open your account settings. 2. Select Delete Account and confirm. Deleting your account removes your access and permanently deletes your personal data. This can't be undone. Before you delete: what we recommend We recommend sorting out anything still in progress first, because you won't be able to manage it once your access is gone: - Ship any packages in storage, or contact us about them. - Wait for open Personal Shopper orders to be completed, or contact us about them. - Settle any open invoices or refunds, so nothing is left outstanding. - Update your address with stores so new orders don't keep arriving at your old suite. If you're not sure whether anything is still open, contact our support team before you delete your account. Inactive accounts We may close an account that's had no activity for 24 months, after we've made reasonable attempts to reach you. If there's a balance remaining on the account at that point, it's forfeited. See our Terms (ยง7.7). Common questions Will I lose my suite number if I cancel my membership? No. When you cancel a paid plan, you keep a free account with the same addresses. What happens to my stored packages if I downgrade? Packages already in storage keep the storage period they already have. Only packages logged afterwards follow the Free plan's storage period. Can I get my account back after deleting it? No. Deleting your account permanently deletes your personal data. You'd need to create a new account. I just want to stop receiving emails. Do I need to delete my account? No. You can cancel your membership and keep a free account. Marketing messages are separate from service messages: you can opt out of marketing SMS at any time by replying STOP. Messages about your own packages, shipments and payments can't be turned off while your account is active โ€” they're how we tell you what's happening with your things. If you have questions about the emails you receive, contact our support team. Still need help? Our support team is available on weekdays from 09:00 to 17:00 ET at [email protected].

Keeping your account secure: two-step sign-in and account verification

Short answer: You can turn on two-step sign-in (2FA) in your account settings for extra protection. If we notice suspicious payment activity, we may ask you to verify your account, and accounts that don't complete verification are suspended. Two-step sign-in (2FA) With two-step sign-in, you need a second step on top of your password when you log in. Even if someone learns your password, they can't get into your account without that second step. You can turn it on in your account settings. We recommend it for every account, especially if you ship high-value items. Why we may ask you to verify your account To protect you and our other customers, we watch for unusual payment activity. If something looks suspicious, we may send you a verification request before your account can continue as normal. - Complete the request as soon as you can. Follow the instructions in the request. - If verification isn't completed, the account is suspended. - Not sure a request is genuine? Contact our support team at [email protected] before you share anything. A verification request doesn't mean you've done anything wrong. It's a routine check that helps stop card fraud. While your account is on hold, shipping is paused, not storage. Packages can still arrive and be logged to your account, and their storage clocks keep running as usual, but we can't process a shipment until the hold is resolved. See our Terms (ยง6.4). Resolve the request quickly so a package's storage period doesn't run out while shipping is on hold. Tips for a safe account These are good habits for any online account: - Use a strong, unique password that you don't use anywhere else. - Turn on two-step sign-in. - Keep your account email secure, because it's where password resets and notifications go. - Be careful with links. If an email asks you to sign in, go to the ForwardMe website yourself instead of clicking the link. - Never share your password or sign-in codes with anyone. - Check your account now and then for packages, shipments or payments you don't recognize. If you think someone else has access 1. Change your password right away. 2. Turn on two-step sign-in if it isn't on yet. 3. Contact our support team and tell us what you noticed, such as a shipment, address or payment you don't recognize. Common questions Is two-step sign-in required? It's available for every account, and we strongly recommend it. Why was I asked to verify my account? We ask for verification when we notice suspicious payment activity. It's a routine security check. What happens if I don't complete verification? The account is suspended. Complete the request, or contact our support team if you have trouble with it. I see a shipment or payment I don't recognize. What should I do? Change your password, turn on two-step sign-in, and contact our support team with the details. Still need help? Our support team is available on weekdays from 09:00 to 17:00 ET at [email protected].

Refer a friend: earn shipping credit

Short answer: Invite a friend by email from your account. Your friend gets $10 to spend on their first shipment, and you get $10 in shipping credit once they've spent $50 on ForwardMe. How you both earn $10 How it works 1. Send an invite. Invite your friend by email from your ForwardMe account. 2. Your friend signs up. Signing up is free. 3. Your friend gets $10. They can spend it on their first shipment. 4. Your friend spends $50. Once they've spent $50 on the site, your reward is unlocked. 5. You get $10. It's added to your account as shipping credit. | Who | Reward | When | |---|---|---| | Your friend | $10 | To spend on their first shipment | | You | $10 shipping credit | When your friend has spent $50 on the site | Pending and Available credit Your referral credit shows in your account in two stages: - Pending: you've invited a friend, but they haven't reached $50 in spending yet. - Available: your friend has spent $50, and the credit is ready to use on your shipments. Tips - Use your friend's correct email address when you send the invite. - Tell your friend how ForwardMe works. "How ForwardMe works: from sign-up to your door" is a good place to start. - Share the basics. Your friend needs to use their own suite number on every order, as explained in "What is a suite number and why does it matter?". Common questions When do I get my $10? When your friend has spent $50 on the site. Until then, the credit shows as Pending. What can my friend use their $10 on? Their first shipment. Why is my credit still Pending? Your friend hasn't spent $50 on the site yet. Once they do, the credit moves to Available. What can I use my referral credit on? It's shipping credit, so you can use it on your shipments. How do I invite someone? Send the invite by email from your ForwardMe account. Still need help? Our support team is available on weekdays from 09:00 to 17:00 ET at [email protected].

Turn it on in your account settings. Even if someone learns your password, they can't sign in without the second step. - Payment verification. We watch for suspicious payment activity. If something looks unusual, we may ask you to verify your account before it continues as normal. This helps stop card fraud on your account and others. For step-by-step tips, see "Keeping your account secure: two-step sign-in and account verification". How we protect your packages - Your suite number links every package to you. Each customer has a personal suite number, and it's how we match an arriving package to the right account. If a package arrives without it, add it under Expected Packages so we can match it quickly, at no charge. - Every package is opened, inspected and photographed. We photograph the outer box, the shipping label and the items inside, and keep them on record at no charge. See "Do you open my packages? Inspection and photos". - We log packages quickly and tell you. Delivered packages are logged into your account within 24 hours at the latest, usually the same day, and we email you when they are. - Optional shipping insurance. You can insure a shipment at checkout for $3 per $100 of declared value, up to $5,000 per shipment. Insurance is provided by a third-party insurer, EasyPost, Inc. See "Shipping insurance: what it costs and what it covers". - Carrier cover without insurance. Major carriers (FedEx, UPS, DHL) cover up to $100, excluding the shipping cost. How you pay Payments are processed through Stripe and PayPal. You can pay with Visa, Mastercard, American Express, PayPal, Apple Pay or Google Pay. All charges are in US dollars, and refunds reach your card or PayPal within 1โ€“3 days once issued. See "Accepted payment methods". Your agreement with us Two parts of our Terms are worth knowing about up front. You appoint us as your agent. By using the service you authorise us, as your agent, to sign shipping documents, prepare customs declarations and commercial invoices, and file Electronic Export Information (EEI) on your behalf (ยง3.1โ€“3.4). This is what makes a lawful export possible: without it, nobody at our warehouse could complete the paperwork for a package you've asked us to send. Disputes go to arbitration. The Terms include binding arbitration and a class-action waiver (ยง13.2โ€“13.5). You can opt out by emailing [email protected] within 30 days of creating your account. The right is time-limited, so if you want to keep it, send that email early. Simple habits that keep you safe - Use a strong password that you don't use anywhere else. - Turn on two-step sign-in. - Always add your suite number in Address Line 2 when you shop. - If an email asks you to sign in, go to the ForwardMe website yourself instead of clicking the link. - Not sure a message is really from us? Contact [email protected] before you share anything. Common questions Is ForwardMe a real company I can trust with my packages? Yes. Read independent customer reviews on our Trustpilot page, and see the protections above that cover your account, packages and payments. Do you open my packages? Yes, every package is opened and inspected, and we photograph the box, the label and the items at no charge. This protects you and makes sure everything can be shipped. What if my shipment is lost or damaged? With insurance, file a claim through our insurance claim form right away, with all the evidence you have. Without insurance, major carriers cover up to $100, excluding shipping. See "Lost or damaged shipment: how to file a claim". Why was I asked to verify my account? It's a routine check after suspicious payment activity. Complete the request, because accounts that don't complete verification are suspended. Still need help? Our support team is available on weekdays from 09:00 to 17:00 ET at [email protected].

Your Address Book: adding and checking delivery addresses

Short answer: Your Address Book lives in your account settings. Use Add New Delivery Address to save where you want your shipments to go, then pick that address when you create a shipment. Always include the house number, a postal code and a local phone number. Anatomy of a delivery address card Where to find it Open account settings and go to Address Book. You'll see every delivery address you've saved, each on its own card, plus a button to Add New Delivery Address. You can save as many as you need โ€” home, office, a family member's place โ€” and one of them is marked Primary, the one we suggest first when you create a shipment. Adding a new address You can either let Google's address autocomplete fill in the address as you type, or switch to manual entry and type each field yourself. Manual entry is there for a reason: Google Maps doesn't work everywhere, so if autocomplete can't find your street, just enter it by hand. The form asks for the recipient name, a short tag like "Home" or "Office" so you can tell your addresses apart, the address itself (street, country, state or province, city and postal code), a phone number with the country code, and an optional VAT / Tax Number. Below the form you'll see a map preview with the latitude and longitude of the address you entered โ€” a quick way to check you've landed on the right street before you save. If the map doesn't load or the pin looks off, that's usually Google Maps coverage rather than a problem with your address. Three things worth getting right - Include the house or building number. An address without one is the most common reason a courier can't find the recipient. - Always add a postal code. International shipments need it โ€” carriers use it for routing, for customs and for the correct rate. - Use a local phone number. If anything comes up in customs, or the courier needs to arrange delivery, they will call or message the recipient. A local number is far more likely to be reachable. The optional VAT / Tax Number field Some countries ask the person receiving an import for a personal or business tax identification number before customs will release the package. If your destination is one of them, save that number here with the address, before you create your shipment. We don't keep a list of which countries require one, and the rules change โ€” the official customs website for your destination country is the place to check. For more, see "Import VAT, GST and recipient tax IDs". What the address card shows Once you save an address, its card can show a few tags: | Tag | What it means | |---|---| | Primary | Your default address, suggested first at checkout | | Address verified | An automatic check (EasyPost) recognized the address | | Unverified | The automatic check couldn't confirm it | | Remote area | The destination is outside the courier's standard delivery zone | | View on Maps | Opens the saved location in Google Maps | About "Unverified": the verification service doesn't cover every country. If you know the address is correct, you can safely ignore an Unverified tag and ship to it. About the remote area notice: couriers charge extra to deliver outside their standard zones. The fee varies by courier and is typically $40โ€“$50. Seeing it here, before you ship, means no surprise at checkout. To see which destinations we serve, read "Where we ship from and to". Common questions Can I ignore the "Unverified" tag? Yes, if you're confident the address is right. The check doesn't cover every country, so plenty of good addresses come back Unverified. Why do you need a phone number? Because the courier needs a way to reach the recipient, especially during customs clearance. Use a local number. Do I have to fill in the VAT / Tax Number?
